The horizontal shelf members were collected and stored by the client years ago. She decided to use them to dress her front window, but needed a way to hold them up. Made the legs out of old-growth doug fir, just like the vintage horizontal pieces. She wants to display glassware to add color to the room, keep the natural light, but block out peepers… so I came up with the stands to invert and hold the glassware securely. Maybe you can see how the underside grooves sync with the shelf? Those are made of cherry hardwood. All of it was sanded smooth and finished with danish oil.
