This is not art. But inside... custom built for sculptures. False walls, snug fit, tight latches, fire-retardant, handled to go around the world a few times. Use also as pedestals to pop up your gallery anywhere. First order: 17 crates in 4 different sizes, out the door in 2 batches this month.

Coffee Shop Counters

Coffee Shop Counters

3-piece, 101-inch, system of counters takes center stage at a new coffee shop. Inspired by the thought of everybody falling in love over pastries. Made of white oak quarter-sawn hardwood.

Anders’ Arc

Anders’ Arc

Professor Anders asked for a shelf to adorn the passway between her kitchen and living room. When’s she’s cooking or grading papers at the table, her boys are playing video games in the other room. So she wanted cubbies to 1) filter the view, 2) provide a showcase for the art she’s collected during her travels, and 3) extend the lines of her mid-century home.

Nelson Dining Table: Delivered

Nelson Dining Table: Delivered

Standing strong on its own two legs, this is more proof that crazy is possible at the LdM home studio workshop. With one of the legs being glass, per client direction, yah, you know my own knees were a shaking. Without any hardware, the legs are secured within the tabletop's thickness (1.75") using grooves, splines, holes and dowels. Made of Afromosia (African teak) and glass. No stain either under three coats of Enduro polyurethane.

Ripple Effect: Window Frame and Seat

Ripple Effect: Window Frame and Seat

Friend on the left loves ripples. He's launching a new clothing line headquartered on the 2nd floor of an old 2-story building in downtown Los Angeles, 2 blocks from the Staple Center. Visionary helps you realize that the very difficult is easy. Commissioned LdM to frame the windows and execute the long bench below. Thanks, mate! Gave his brand something to sit on, shoot through, jump off, curl up to.... Made my exit yesterday after finishing the built-in less than 2 weeks after visiting the space for the first time. Photos of finished work to come.

Sully's Bunk: Installed

Sully's Bunk: Installed

Delivered and installed Sully's Bunk with the help and support of a team of 3 friends. Considering the scope, it went superbly well, certainly not without the strength and will of the team. There was no better incentive but to make Sully's room the absolute most wonderful room to call his own.

Korra Collaboration

Korra Collaboration

Great friend and wonderful man took over Korra Yoga Studio recently, and he used the LdM Peechee 4-piece and LdM Droplets to add balance to the space. Then, we collaborated and built the studio's reception desk together. When you're looking to get your stretch and breath on in Chino, this place is awesome. Besides 3 large rooms with various classes to choose from, the instructors and ambiance are super encouraging to help you feel and be your best. Namaste everybody.

Record Player Console: Sold at Debut

Record Player Console: Sold at Debut

Got records? 100-120 records? Along with a turntable, amp/receiver, cd player, and woofer (sunk to the floor), they'll all groove together in LdM's latest creation. This original design was first made in October 2017 when it debuted and sold at the WestEdge Design Fair.

LdM Showcases at WestEdge Design Fair 2017

Luz de Mano's first trade expo could not have been at a better place. WestEdge has grown over the past five years to be the premiere design fair on the west coast by giving independent designers and makers a chance to go big.
